FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Midlands entrepreneur crowdfunds Tesla Roadster covered in supporter logos, with proceeds destined for charity BrandMyRoadster.lol is raising a minimum of £200,000 (stretch target: £250,000) to buy a Tesla Roadster and sell its bodywork, panel by panel, as advertising space to UK businesses. Bidding starts at £50 for the smallest positions and rises to £10,000 for the rear window's full contravision wrap. The vehicle will rack up an estimated 1,500–2,000 miles a month, on regular runs between the Midlands, Leeds, Sheffield, London, Swansea, Edinburgh, Carlisle and Southampton, doubling as a chaser car for Cocoon Vehicles' driver deliveries up and down the UK, and will appear at UK car meets throughout its 2–3 years on the road. At the end of that period, the car will be auctioned through a reputable auction house. Net proceeds — after settling any shortfall-financing loan and applicable tax — will be split between UK-registered charities, in proportions decided by a public vote at brandmyroadster.lol/charities. The project is organised by Rhys Adams (X: @rhysadams), founder of Cocoon Vehicles (cocoonvehicles.co.uk). For shortlisted charities to share
A short blurb any charity on our shortlist is welcome to post on their own site or social channels to rally their supporters' votes.
We've been shortlisted as one of the charities that could benefit from the BrandMyRoadster.lol campaign — a crowdfunded Tesla Roadster covered in sponsor logos, which will be auctioned for charity after 2–3 years on UK roads. The public vote decides what share of the proceeds each shortlisted charity receives, so every vote counts. Vote for us: brandmyroadster.lol/charities
